About me

The idea behind Wordplay Press.

A personal introduction from the creator of a simple, customizable word-search tool.

Last updated October 19, 2026

Hello, and thanks for visiting.

I created Wordplay Press around a straightforward idea: you should be able to make a word search from the activities, interests and topics that matter to you, rather than choosing only from someone else's worksheet collection.

This is an independent website, not a school, a clinical service or a professional proofreading company. I want the tool to be practical: type your words, adjust the challenge, preview the result and download an activity with its answer key.

Room for your own ideas

A hobby, a lesson, a family event or a shared interest can become the starting point for an activity.

More ways to participate

Language options and source-linked heritage themes help visitors find different starting points without being asked to identify their background.

What I am building

The site combines custom puzzle creation, prepared printable categories, English, Spanish and French interface options, and browser-local history and favorites. The printable PDF includes a separate answer key, so you can choose exactly which pages to share.

The guides explain practical uses and limitations. Some content and artwork use AI assistance, and automated tests check selected puzzle and download workflows. Those checks do not replace reviewing spellings, cultural context or suitability for your own group.

What you can expect

No account is required for the core tools. Saved history stays in the browser you use; it is not an online backup. Optional analytics can be declined without losing access to puzzle creation or downloads. If advertising is enabled later, it must stay separate from the tools and follow the applicable consent requirements.

I do not promise that word searches produce a particular learning or health benefit. They are a flexible activity that you can adapt, discuss and enjoy. The best version of a worksheet is the one you have checked for the people who will use it.
